Reunification Day on Fox 17 Morning Mix
Phalesha Kyes, our Office Administrator, shared about Kent County’s first ever Reunification Day. WMPC, in collaboration with Michigan Department of Health and human Services and Kent County circuit court are hosting this event to celebrate families who have successfully reunified with their children after navigating through the foster care system. Sponsored by the John Ball Zoo the event will consist of a light dinner; short program including keynote speech from Michigan Supreme Court Justice Megan Cavanagh; families who have successfully reunified wo will courageously share their journeys; and exhibit booths from community partners. Reunification Day on WGVU Morning Show with Shelley Irwin
Our CEO, Kristyn Peck, was featured on Shelley Irwin’s morning radio show to talk about Reunification Day. This will be Kent County’s first celebrated event to honor families who have successfully reunified after experiencing the foster care system. The event, held at John Ball Zoo, will consist of a short program including “Hero Families” sharing their personal stories of reunification; a keynote by Supreme Court Justice Megan Cavanagh; community resource tables; and kid-friendly entertainment.
