Tim Bergsma (he/him/his) serves as Chief Financial Officer at West Michigan Partnership for Children (WMPC), where he leads the organization’s financial strategy, stewardship, and operational accountability in support of sustainable impact and organizational excellence. Tim is responsible for ensuring strong financial performance, strengthening fiscal systems, and advancing data-informed decision-making that supports WMPC’s mission and long-term vision.

Tim is an accomplished finance executive with more than 25 years of diverse industry experience, including extensive nonprofit financial leadership. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer at United Way of South Central Michigan, where he oversaw complex financial operations and managed multiple funding streams. His career also includes many years in higher education, where he taught undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, helping develop the next generation of financial professionals.

A strategic and analytical leader, Tim brings deep expertise in financial management, compliance, risk mitigation, and organizational sustainability. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). Tim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, a Master of Business Administration, and a PhD in Accounting and Criminology.
