Doug Booth is the Business Manager in Economic Development for the City of Grand Rapids. In this role, he works to foster sustainable growth and create opportunities that enhance the city’s vibrancy for all who live and work here. Doug’s passion for building stronger, more inclusive communities continues to guide his work, with a focus on fostering equitable development that benefits everyone. Doug holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan University and a Master’s in Health Policy and Regulation from the University of Denver. His previous research
focused on the barriers faced by the LGBTQIA community in accessing healthcare, and he continues to advocate for equitable healthcare access. Doug serves as the Vice President of the Grand Rapids LGBTQ Healthcare Consortium, where he helps lead initiatives to improve healthcare access and outcomes for the LGBTQ+ community. He remains an active volunteer and is committed to driving positive, equitable change and creating a better future for all.
