Jennifer Schepers brings a wealth of experience and a passion for impactful social work to her new role. A 2015 BSW graduate, she began her career as a Foster Care Case Manager at Wellspring Lutheran Services, where she quickly demonstrated her dedication and leadership. While continuing in this role, Jennifer pursued her MSW at Western Michigan University in 2016, further deepening her expertise. In 2018, Jennifer transitioned to a supervisory role in the Licensing department at Wellspring Lutheran Services, and by 2019, she earned recognition as GVSU’s “BSW Field Supervisor of the Year.” Her commitment to professional growth continued with the attainment of her clinical license in 2020. Beyond her direct work in child welfare, Jennifer has shared her knowledge as an adjunct professor at Cornerstone University, where she inspires future social workers. Driven by her passion for equity, systems theory, and trauma-informed care, Jennifer embodies the values needed to create meaningful change. She resides in Grand Rapids with her husband and their energetic two-year-old son, embracing both her professional and personal roles with enthusiasm.
