We are proud to share that two of our leaders have recently been appointed to serve on Kent County Board of Commissioners advisory councils, ensuring that the voices of children, families, and community partners are represented where important decisions are made.
• David Shields, Director of Strategic Initiatives and Advocacy,  has been appointed to the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan Advisory Board
• Sonia Noorman, CEO, has been appointed to the Kent County Family & Children’s Coordinating Council as a Private Agency Representative
Both will serve from 2026–2028, helping shape systems and strengthen supports for our community’s most vulnerable populations.
We are deeply grateful for David and Sonia’s continued leadership and commitment to advocacy beyond our walls. WMPC is stronger because of you—and so is our community.
